This policy applies to capslock.com, operated by Capslock (KvK 87371219, VAT NL004406764B72), Weidehoek 10, 3791 RP Achterveld, Netherlands. We're the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@capslock.com.
02What data we collect
Order data (name, email, delivery address, phone), payment data (handled by our payment provider), account data, marketing data if you opt in, usage data via cookies, and anything you share via our contact form.
03Why we collect it
To fulfil your order (contract), to send marketing emails (consent), to improve our website (consent/legitimate interest), to respond to your questions (consent/legitimate interest), and to meet legal obligations such as tax record-keeping.
04Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run our webshop, remember your cart, and understand how our site is used. Non-essential cookies only run with your consent, managed via our cookie banner.
05Tools & third parties
We work with a small number of trusted service providers, each receiving only the data it needs:
Shopify — our e-commerce platform, hosts our store and processes orders and payments. Shares order, payment, and account data. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
Mailchimp — sends our newsletter and marketing emails. Shares email address and name if provided. See Mailchimp's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics — helps us understand how visitors use our site. Shares usage data, device/browser type, and approximate location. See Google's Privacy Policy.
06International transfers
Some providers, including Google and Mailchimp, may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
07How long we keep data
Order and payment data is kept for as long as required by Dutch tax law (currently 7 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Account data is kept while your account stays active.
08Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your data, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@capslock.com to exercise any of these rights.
09Data security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted checkout via Shopify, to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
10Children's privacy
Capslock.com is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add a new tool or our legal obligations change.
